Antique 19th Century Burma Burmese Woven Rice Carrying Basket Container with Lid
A covered round bucket-shaped rice basket with four small legs, made of woven bamboo thread and coated with originally black lacquer (now grey), and red concentric circles on the lid. With 6 metal supports for threading to secure the cover and also for transportation.
Northern Burma, 19th century, Mandalay period.
